About

Liam Cody Frazier is a professional drummer from Baltimore, Maryland who has been playing drums for 13 years and professionally for 9 years.  Liam excels in playing a wide range of music genres and his influences include Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta, Dennis Chambers, Dave Lombardo, Dave DiCenso, Tony Williams, Gar Samuelson, Billy Cobham, and more.

Liam started his musical journey in 7th grade, in which he learned drumming basics from a friend and listened to heavy metal bands like Slayer, Metallica, and Iron Maiden, which helped him become skilled in aggressive, fast-paced drumming. Then a few years later in high school, he took symphonic band for which helped him learn how to play with control and precision and read music.

In his second year of high school, Liam began studying with Tim Huesgen, a top-ranking drummer in the army band, while concurrently taking symphonic band and forming heavy metal bands with school classmates.

In his final year in high school, Liam took a jazz improvisation class, which elevated his skillset on the drums and overall feel of playing, which he used to his advantage with his own bands, as he played hard rock and heavy metal with a jazz fusion influence.

Throughout high school and the years following, Liam would go on to perform live with local acts such as, Corrupt Conspiracy, Tha Raw, Consumer Culture, and Lovey across Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Washington DC, Delaware, and Pennsylvania and perform on albums released by The Raw and Consumer Culture, both through Manta Ray Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music.

Liam continued studying from his teacher, Tim, and also studied with Jared Collins, drummer of the Howard University Gospel Choir, Jotan Afanador, internationally touring drummer of Romeo Santos, and Gordy Knudtson, drummer of the Steve Miller Band.

Through his 13 years of drumming, and vast experience of learning from different teachers, playing live and in studio sessions with different bands of different genres, across different states, and his dedication to practice and constant improvement, Liam has developed a unique style of open-handed drumming that can be described as "expressive", "artistic", "powerful", "conversational", and "entertaining".

In March of 2018, Liam was invited by Tobin James to come play at Tobin's practice and the pair, along with bassist, Aidan Hall found immediate chemistry and soon began playing venues across Virginia, Maryland, and DC, with the highlight being their performance at the 2018 Maryland State Fair.

Currently Liam works as the full time drummer of Crush Live Entertainment and Ben DeHan, and also as a freelance session drummer.  Liam has also taught students of various ages from 5-60 years old and teaches a multitude of different styles of music.
